Mold in detergent dispenser

I noticed some black discoloring in the dispenser drawer. I took it out to clean it. When I went to put it back in I saw the whole inside of the dispenser was covered in black mold. I spent a good half hour cleaning it. To prevent the mold from coming back I take the drawer out after I'm done washing for the day. It's a pain because sometimes I forget or other family members forget to take it out. Then the mold comes back.

Only works on Normal cycle (machine is 2 months old!), from the moment I first used it; load and go dispenser drawer entire area full of black mold; entire interior now smells like black mold. WAAYYYYYY too loud, since it is on the 2nd floor. Office is underneath, and it sounds like a jet taking off above me. Horrible product!

Here is a short list for a 2 week old washer.
1. Small clothes get stuck under the seal sometimes
2. Poor stain remover, terrible at removing odor from baby clothes.
3. Two error codes already. Stops wash mid cycle for those. Have to call service already.
4. Sensors seem to over ride manual settings. I. E. Put baby clothes on heavy cycle, extra rinse. Timer skips, amount of water was the same as regular wash, overall time was close as well.
5. Good agitation but not enough water in my opinion.
6. Cleaning cycle is way too short. My prior machine ran it for 4 hours. This one is around an hour.

Ive had to have the washer and dryee serviced numerous times, customer service is horrible. The washer and dryer both continously turn off and on when they want, sometimes the buttons dont work and you have to press them numerous times! Will never buy from this corporation again!

This machine has a large capacity, several wash options, and even a removable detergent holder that dispenses the right amount of detergent! When it's time to refill it, I'll get a signal. How fantabulous!! It really is a beauty, and makes this old lady smile.

So happy I did not listen to the negative reviews regarding sound. This is a very quite running machine. Love that it is American made and it uses very little water. Highly recommend this machine.

I have had three service calls on my new washing machine and have talked to Whirlpool three times and no one can explain why when I set the machine on a normal wash setting and set it for warm or hot water all I get is cold tap water. Their technicians say this is okay since the tap water must be warm enough. When I set on other wash cycles such as towels, heavy duty or whites I can get warm or hot water temp. The service person that came out agreed that this machine is not working properly. When he called Whirlpool to get approval for a new computer board to put in he was told that this is working properly. The service person told me if I want a warm wash for my light colored clothes to use the towel setting which lasts almost 30 minutes longer than the normal setting. This is stupid. I can't believe how I cannot get a satisfactory answer to this problem or a resolution and how the technicians can say this is how the machine should work. I have another new LG at another house and when I set it on normal wash warm I get warm water. This whirlpool machine is the dumbest machine and would never recommend it. I am considering throwing it out and buying another brand.

It works very well on the steam clean setting. Every other setting gives unaacceptable results. It has lots of bells and whistels but we only use a few settings regularly. Next time will get a top loader. Difficult to see inside even with drum light, Load n Go dispenser never empties, it just dilutes dispenser after each wash. Service reps say blow back is expected and refused to make service call after 2 repair attempts. I just pour soap into the drum. It looks pretty.....

This washer works great, I like that it is HE and noticed a big difference in the amount of detergent, also like that it can hold several loads worth of detergent so that I don't need to add every cycle. I installed the unit myself and it was easy to do.

Purchased this machine to replace older Whirlpool model. I do like the enhanced cycle options, but am a little disappointed that the machine is louder than my previous model. Also, the cycle buttons are a little too sensitive... must remember not to reach into cabinets above machine during operation because the wash cycles change when you get anywhere near the control panel. Prices have gone down on Whirlpool front load machines since I purchased my first one, however, newer machines don't seem to be built as well. Overall I still think Whirlpool is the best brand choice.
